About the Std 7 Gujarati textbook શબ્દરમત
શબ્દરમત (Shabdaramat – ‘word play’) is the Std 7 Gujarati first-language textbook published by the Gujarat State School Textbook Board for Gujarati-medium schools. The current edition has 21 lessons, two revision sections and four supplementary readings, across about 145 pages.
In Std 7 each lesson is one complete piece by a named Gujarati writer – poems, stories, essays, a play, a biography and a travelogue – followed by word meanings, conversation questions and written exercises. A ‘મને ગમતા શબ્દો’ strip at the foot of each page invites children to collect words they like, and QR codes link to audio and video.
