વાર્તા: સૂર્ય સુધી પહોંચાય? – સરળ ભાષામાં
છઠ્ઠા ધોરણમાં ભાસ્કરભાઈ આવ્યા કે મિહિરે પૂછ્યું, “સાહેબ, આચાર્યસાહેબે સૂર્યગ્રહણની વાત કરી – રાહુ સૂર્યને ગળી જાય?” પ્રભા બોલી, “સૂર્યને કોઈ ગળી શકે?” ભાસ્કરભાઈએ હસીને ચર્ચા ચાલવા દીધી.
સવિતાએ કહ્યું, “હનુમાનદાદા પણ આખો સૂર્ય ગળી ગયા હતા!” સૌએ વાર્તાની માગણી કરી. ભાસ્કરભાઈએ વાત માંડી:
નાનકડા હનુમાન એક દિવસ વહેલા જાગ્યા. ભૂખ લાગી હતી. પૂર્વમાં લાલચટક ગોળમટોળ સૂર્ય ઊગતો દેખાયો – ‘વાહ, પાકું ફળ!’ એ તો ઊડ્યા આકાશમાં. રાહુ પણ સૂર્યને ગળવા આવ્યો હતો; હનુમાને તેને ધક્કો માર્યો. રાહુએ ઇન્દ્રને ફરિયાદ કરી.
ઇન્દ્રએ વજ્રથી પ્રહાર કર્યો; હનુમાન બેહોશ થઈ ધરતી પર પડ્યા. પુત્રને આમ જોઈ પવનદેવે ગુસ્સામાં પવન રોકી દીધો – આખું જગત ગૂંગળાવા લાગ્યું! દેવોએ હનુમાનને સજીવન કર્યા અને અનેક વરદાન આપ્યાં. આદિત્યએ વાત પૂરી થતાં તાળીઓ પાડી.
